Hi, I have just bought a special offer ticket (by Ryanair) and I obviously do not want to pay for any luggage.. my question is, do you know what I can/can not bring on board?

I would probably just need quickdraws, harness and couple of slings+screwgates.. maybe a rope, but that should not be necessary...

Rope probably not. Quickdraws and harness should be ok if it's in the bag. I had some metalwork in my bag on a flight to spain and they were ok with it. Dunno about helmet.

Helmets have been worn through security before by UBMC members so you should be fine with that. You might get some strange looks.

Have always flown with metalwork in the hold. Let us know how you get on. If you are taking a harness and quickdraws, why is a rope not needed?!
