Tom's field Friday night then maybe wild camping Saturday above the Dancing Ledges. Both these spots are at Swanage - got too much stuff to do at Connor Cove to be driving from Portland every day. Plus there's sport around Swanage/Lulworth meaning that those who don't want to DWS won't have to travel very far. Sport climbing in Dorset is gay anyway, its like going to Font and trying to trad shag.

Oh, and if you're on this trip its a pre-requisite that you attempt this route. No excuses people!

By sheer fluke rather than anything else this lil excursion seems to tie-in nicely with a spring tide at Portland. What does this mean you say? Well, in a nutshell, a lot of the DWS lines on the Isle which would most likely have been unclimbable are now fair game. The catch being that we'll have to be up and on the rock before 8am to make the most of the water. I reckon then if the weather is decent we could spend the 1st two days at Swanage and then move over to Portland for the 2nd two days. Lulworth is in the middle and can be reached easy enough from either spot. That should keep the DWSers and the Sport climbers happy.

Cool?

Connor Cove first though, cus it's too damn good to miss.
