http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?t=426604 - you might want to post something on here, the guy from Leeds (Will) is clearly a long way up his own arse, don't do a post like that, people will think you're a bell end.

Hope all the planning for Freshers is going well and I'll see you guys soon.

Looks like southampton are planning on heading to stanage the same week with 45 freshers. Interesting times.

I'd strongly recommend writing a piss-take Freshers warning.

Lawrence has been in touch with the other clubs that are going to be there as well, so they'll be trying to co-ordinate to reduce cluttering the routes. Exactly how successful that will be remains to be seen.........

Ok, so I now have internet back again! :)

Above information is correct! I have been in touch with the other clubs, and it appears they are climbing in different areas of stanage to where we normally go :)

So fingers crossed, there won't be a problem!....

Man, Stanage is guna be FULL this weekend:

phildavies84 on - 08 Oct 2010:
University of Kent will probably be at Stanage and Birchen this weekend.

ian d f on - 11:49 Thu:
17 oct. We (OUMC) will have about 40 people in the Peak District, mainly at Stanage (Popular and Plantation).

Plus "Southampton University Mountaineering Club @ 15-17 of October Stanage Edge" and "Loughborough Students Mountaineering Club @ Saturday 16th Oct - Stanage (Crow Chin Area)"

I propose a 6am start on Saturday & Sunday :P just to get a parking spot.

the crag is only 3 miles from the campsite = 1hour walk = good way to warm up and cure that handover!
