Who wants to help me drive the minibus? To earn a dandy lil driver discount.

JT can drive the minibus, but if you wan't his help, your / Jack will have to get in touch with him to check about his details. This won't happen on its own. If you wan't his number, let me know, or you can just get in touch with him on facebook. :)

I be so phyched! :D Scotland couldn't come any soone for me right now.

Email me his number then as I don't have him on facebook. Either that or I'll look through the wolverhampton directory for a mr JT

Unfortunately for safety reasons you need to do the winter course to come on the trip (if you have had no previous experience).

So far just you and Ian will be driving the minibus- thanks to both of you for offering.
Currently waiting for a response from transport services to see whether JT is also allowed to drive.

UPDATE:
If your name is on the list on the first post, you're officially on the Scotland trip! The remainder of the money needs to be paid by the 9th December.

Unfortunately the course is now full but there are 2 spaces left for people who don't need the course.

MEETING: There will be a meeting on Tuesday 29th November at 8pm at the guild (Rosa Parks room) to discuss equipment, times, logistics etc. Please let me now in advance if you can't make it.

KIT LIST
Try to 'Beg, borrow and steel' as much as possible- the meeting will be a good chance to do this! Second hand stuff is usually much cheaper- try UKC (http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/i.php?f=3) / ebay / club members.
Also places like TKmax can have some really good bargains!

A Rucksack (suitable for climbing, between 35l and 50l)
Suitable Boots (ask if you’re not sure)
Waterproof jacket
Waterproof trousers

A pair of Gaiters (optional)
Gloves (As many pairs as you can find)
A warm hat or Balaclava (that fits under your helmet)
Trousers to shag in
Fleeces
Base layers - a few Thermal tops and a pair of Thermal bottoms or tights
Thick Socks
A Down jacket / synthetic equivalent (optional)
A Head torch
Compass (optional)
A Water Bottle (1L)
Sun glasses and/or Goggles
An Orange Survival Bag
Clothes to wear when not climbing
A sleeping bag to use in the hut (there is heating in the hut so about 2 seasons will be sufficient)
Belay plate & prussic(s)
Harness & Helmet (Can be borrowed from club, let me know before the end of term!)

Important items are in red!
Any question just ask!!

I'm now an advanced driver!

First thing the examiner said?

Re Gear: I have, for a limited time only, some gear to lend out!

My La Sportiva Glacier GTX Evo [B2] boots! Size 9.5/10. Well that's my foot size. They've survived my inept crampon footwork for the past 3/4 years. Still in great nick. ... I'll expect them back in the same condition.

My Berghaus Synthetic 'belay' jacket. Yep, it's just like my blue synthetic I've worn on trips, but brand spanking new! It probably won't cut it on its own in Scotland as an individual heating item, but unlike down, it doesn't matter so much if it gets wet. ... Just don't trash it! :P

An old 'soft shell' jacket - if you don't own a windstopper, this North Face one does that job & is great. :) ... No holes in it please!

Its unlikely, but should you be lacking in a fleece... I've about 3 mediums, which I can't wear all at once!

If your lacking a rucksack. I have a 50?60? Ltr one, it can be easily strapped down and I've used it in Scotland before. - Get in touch with Alaina who seems to have "piked" it from me for the past 2 years!!! Grrrr

If you want to borrow anything on this list, get in touch via text. :) 1st come first served. If I can think of any other things, I'll post them up on here.
