Low House Climbing Trip: 24th-26th October 2008

What: After the awesomeness that was Stanage and the Carnage Meanie we're off to the Lake District. Brilliant climbs of all lengths from single pitch to mountain epics in stunning surroundings and probably the most luxurious hut we visit. This a joint trip with the MAM, so it's a great chance to meet some of the older ex-Stoats.

When: 24th-26th October. 18:00 departure from Munrow Centre, expected return late Sunday night.

Where: Staying in Low House, an incomparably great hut featuring individual bunks, a massive kitchen, the best showers known to man and a real fire to warm those chilly bones.

Cost: £25 (£15 for drivers). Please pay as soon as possible. Deadline for payment is Wednesday 22nd October. Money can be given at Creation or the social next Wednesday (22nd October) or else you can pop into my office. Room 307 in the Watson Building. Go to the third floor, turn right and it's the first room on the left.

Sign Up?: This afternoon (15th October) at Creation -- look for Mark D -- or afterwards on this thread.

What Do I Need To Bring?:
  • Waterproofs
  • Rucksack
  • Climbing gear (let me know on the Friday if you need anything in particular – harness, belay plate etc.)
  • Sleeping bag
  • Head torch (if you have one)
  • Food for 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner (we will stop on the way for food)
  • Warm clothes

Questions?: Ask on this thread or call me on 07821 750855.

Bugger, looks like I missed the sign up! I'll go on the reserves list but don't hold out much hope!

Bugger. I've been away from Creation at the Mo to give my sprained wrist a break. Do the reserves have to pay by the date (so if we get on we've already paid) or will we told before the deadline.
Not holding out much hope tho

Roger and a few others. Should get confirmation from Roger of whose coming in a couple of days and then we might be able to squeeze a couple of people on the reserves list in.

Car list is up, although probably to be changed shortly as I squeeze a couple of the reserves in.

Also, bring wet weather gear, it might be a bit damp!

I would like to leave early, about 1o'clock if possible. Any time from about 11 would be fine though.
If 2 more people can leave then that would be amazing, Sazzle and I can leave then, we just need 2 more slackers...
