Hey Guys its time for UBMC to travel to the Isle of Portland (one of the sunniest places in the country) and crush it into a scree slope! There's 25 spaces available, so sign up quick. On Saturday and Sunday we'll be sport climbing, there is also some really good bouldering on the isle (especially in the Cuttings) so we'll be crushing that also.

Where: Portland, Dorset
When: 8th-10th February
Price: £30 and £20 for drivers

You Will Need:

Warm Clothes and Waterproof Clothing - Sod's Law after-all
Sleeping Bag and rolls mats - we'll be staying in a local scout hut close by.
Climbing Shoes, Harness and other equipment (Harnesses and Helmets can be borrowed)
Food and drink for the weekend (I'm sure drivers will stop on the way in town)
Suitable Footwear
Psyche
Booze

I will update this post with the list of people who have paid, and a car list will be up next week.

:D
Portland ftw.

Me and Nathaniel would love to join this trip - we'll make our own way there either Friday night or Sat morning, so can you let us know how much it'll be just to stay in the hut please.

So excited. The last time I climbed outdoors was Stanage, and when I say climbed, I mean watched people shag whilst sitting in the sun nursing a hangover.

Are you sure about that?? "Saturday mainly cloudy with a little light rain or drizzle. Heavier rain for a time on Sunday"
