Shoes: Ones that hurt
Getting excited for a new year :D

We're at Sports Fair on Wednesday 23rd Sept, and our Freshers Fair stall allocation is on Friday 25th Sept. Feel free to swing by!!

Also, we have plans for a rather cool freshers event on Thursday 24th Sept. We're combining two things that we love, A.dam's lower back muscles, and John's encyclopedic knowledge of gear. Well OK no not really, but we do love those things. The plan is to steal the freshers fair show by hiring a mobile climbing wall, giving prospective members a taste of top-roping, and also shag (c.limb) the equivalent height of Everest in a day. Well, 8 hours to be exact.

It's very ambitious!!! The wall is 6 m high and we have 2 faces of it for the challenge (leaving the other two for the freshlings to go nuts on) . We'll have two teams, aiming to plow through the challenge (1475 ascents required).

It would be nice to raise a bit of money for Mountain Rescue England & Whales, which is the most wonderful organisation that we never hope to use :)

The event will start at 10 am, lasting until 6 pm. And the wall will be outside the Guild (where we meet Wednesday afternoons).;
