I feel with the start of a new year, and the monotonous drone of another ethics essay, that it really is the right time to start reflecting on our climbing, and begin thinking about our ambitions for the future.

So what are people's climbing ambitions by and at Pembroke this year??

I'd like to do sea mist at Pembroke. Would you recommend it, from the bits you did that were on the right route?!

Do you mean blue sky katie? I did both sea mist and its neighbour haze as seperate climbs.

Blue sky was my navigation nightmare. I didn't even get on it.

Blue Sky is fab. Ask anyone but Alek about it. He failed to understand what "Step around the huge obvious corner" means.

For the record, it means "Step around the huge obvious corner"

Even Jules managed this elementary bit of route finding/navigation.

Blue sky is amazing Katie, you would love it! Its just getting the abseil in the right place, but some who has done it before could help you on this.

Im going to miss Pembroke this year, sad times - will have to put up with just climbing some mountains in malawi instead.

By Pembroke- Actually get some climbing done, get my trad head back, shag at Gogarth and do "A Dream of White horses" and the other Wen Zawn HVS's, failing that the Casteel Helen VSs (which I should probably do before the wen routes).

At Pembroke- I dunno really, I suppose I'd like to do some of the HVSs at St Govan's and Heart of Darkness at Mowing word. Most routes at Pembroke are good though.

I'll second that blue sky is wicked, the abseil to the platform I recall was pretty much straight over the Arete, not down the side.

Well, I aim to do at least 1 HS, so that I can happily state that my grade has not dropped in the 4 years Ive been in the club, I guess I would like to have a crack at a VS, maybe blue skies. Although If I did start climbing VS, it would be odd.

Starley and i worked out that we infact fly back the weekend pembroke will probably be, but i think that may be pushing it a bit too far!! Well just have to make do with malawian mountains!

Id like to say id like to shag competenly at VS by pembroke, but seeing as im away most of that time i guess that wont happen...so ill just say id like to do some climbing by pembroke, my main aim is to actually shag at annual dinner as havent managed that for the past 2 years!

To lead "Bobsleigh Requirements", it's a way off for me, but we'll see.
