Signing up for the next UBMC trip has now begun!

New Destination! Gardoms Edge (Directions will be handed out on the day, plus those to The Climbing Works in Sheffield if it is bad weather)

Cost is £7.50. Deadline: Wed 31st October
This is for petrol money, please pay me this (cheques made payable to Katie Marshall) by next Wednesday, thanks. Those who pay first are more likely to secure a space on the trip. You can call round at my house - 16 Tiverton, Selly Oak, to pay.

What a full day's trip to the Peak District, or an indoor wall if the weather is bad
When Saturday 3rd November
Extra costs money for the indoor wall if we use it
Where to meet 8am outside the Munrow sport's centre on Saturday 3rd November
What to bring lots of warm clothes, waterproofs (still handy if a bit damp but ok to shag), any climbing gear you have, lunch, water, money for the drivers and the indoor wall if we use it, and treats to help the drivers do their job
How to sign up post on this thread
Any questions post on this thread, or see me (you can click on my email link below to get my email address)

We will be relying on people's own cars for transport, so spaces are limited to the number of drivers going - thankyou as always drivers!
If you are a driver, please post if you are thanks!

Please may you also post your real name if your username is not your real name!

Hope to see you there!

Car List

Meeting 8am outside the Munrow

The James mobile
Alex
Petr Klus - Zard
Sensei Chris P

The Mickey mobile (Tammy's car)
Me
Phil - Hugehead
Naomi

The Laurence mobile
Alek
Aimee
Soo Guan
Stokesy

The trip has been heavily oversubscribed, so people have gone on a basis of who has signed up first. Keep checking this space and your emails, as people may still drop out and people who aren't on the list yet may still get to go.

If you haven't been on a trip yet, such as Ruth - keep trying to get on, as they're really good fun and I'm sure that everyone will agree that we are a friendly bunch![/b]

Is this definitely the 3rd? If so, you may want to change the events bit of ubmc.co.uk.

Finally! A weekend I'm free to go!

Just a few question before I sign up for it though. I have never really been on a outdoor trip. Actually only once, but it was organised by my department, so everything was provided. I'm not very sure what things to bring for the daytrip. I might end up with a HUGE load of stuff.

How many warm clothing do you reckon I will need? I can't think of any warmer clothing I have other than my jumper. For waterproofs, do you mean jackets and pants? So sorry about this! I'm from a warm country where less clothes means more comfort, never really had to wear more than a layer.

I haven't done much rock climbing, and never done outdoor climbing at all. Only climbed about a couple of times indoors. Would that be a problem?

I'm so sorry about this. But I think all my question sounds quite stupid but I just can't help it!

Thanks!
