Places on the committee have become available, so we will be holding an emergency general meeting in order to fill the gaps on the committee of 2014/15. It'd be great to see a good turnout from members in order to decide who will be running your club. If you're thinking about running then feel free to talk to me or any other current committee members about what it entails.

How to Run

If you want to run for one of the positions listed below you will need someone to nominate you and someone else to second. You will also need to prepare a short speech detailing why you want to take up the role. You will also most likely have to answer a few questions from the audience.

Before running it is a good idea to talk to previous people who have occupied the role which you are running for.

Available Positions:

Indoor Sec
The Indoor Sec is responsible for the competitive side of UBMC, organising competitions and team training. You will also co-ordinate the UBSport side of the club.

Gear Sec
There is one vacancy for the position of gear sec, although it should be noted that the gear sec whose role has opened up due to some administration issues is re-running. The gear secs are responsible for the club's stock of gear and are in charge of making sure gear is availiable for Wednesday afternoon sessions and club trips. A busy position, but perfect if you're organised and love shiny climbing gear! You will be working with the other current gear sec, John Harrison.

The EGM was held last night, with the result being that Murray was re-elected for Gear Sec and Brain was elected as the new Indoor Sec. Well done guys!!!
