A friend of mine is off to the lakes this weekend for some walking. Does anyone know of any good routes to walk around scafell or langdale and happen to have any maps she may be able to borrow!?
Any help would be very much appreciated

I don't want to sound like too much of a wayfairy... But here goes :P

Your friend could:
Go up Bowfell via Angle Tarn from Langdale,
Go up Crinkle Crags from Wrynose Pass
Up Langdale Pikes via a variety of different routes or some good scrambles
You could get to Scafell but that would be a longer walk from Langdale, easier from Borrowdale or Wasdale

I just did that as if from Langdale. Right now, ready for some abuse...

Would be a good idea just in case, you can probably print them off online?
