basicly i came to the first climbing session (a month ago) then joined the society but every wednesday since I've been busy (extra lectures, job interview etcc) and im busy again this wednesday for job induction but I should be able to start coming regularly the week after.

so my question is if i went to redpoint at another time like the weekend with my brother (who has done alot more climbing than me but not at redpoint) would i have to have an induction session? because i remember what to do but it has been a month and im not sure if redpoint would be ok with me just saying that i could do it :S ?

i havent actualy asked my brother yet if he wants to go with me but i will make him lol i really want to get climbing

Hi Hannah,
When you go to Redpoint you can do two things - either take a belay test when you arrive pass it and go off and shag, or fail it and then have to have a Redpoint instructor hold your rope whilst you belay your brother for the session.
If you can remember how to belay, tie a rope and put on a harness you should have no problems.

Alternatively come along on a monday to Creation and get a commitee member to teach you a little bit more.

I would come on a monday but i have lectures till 6pm which is a bit of a killer

thats not a problem (though a little rubbish for you!) most people don't turn up till pretty late on Mondays, today most club members started climbing around 6.30ish
