Hey!

So I'd also definitively be up for joining the second wave that goes out! I'm pretty much free all summer too and bouldering/sport in Switz sounds awesome! I don't have a car either, sorry...

Does anyone have much of an idea how costly doing this may be?

Roughly between £200 and £400 depending on how much bivvying/restauranting you do is what it was last year and what I'd expect it to be for you guys. Maybe more as it's Switzerland...

Hey folks,

I would be keen to run away and shag in July, have a deadline end of June so think I will have earned a holiday.
Very keen to try some easy Alpine stuff, although I haven't done any before so I guess trying to get a place on the Conville Course would be recommended? I see the deadline is April but does anyone know what the actual course dates out in Chamonix are?

I should be able to drive too, hopefully by then I shall have a new car too, and yes I am going bigger than a Micra! Just need to get my compensation money first!

As for Switzerland, mega keen to go back but it is quite expensive from when I went last year, although what we did was very touristy - taking a train through the Eiger and all that.

Psyche!

Awesome! Do you mean you're free until the beginning of August or until the end of August?

Free until the beginning of August, well I actually go on holiday July 31st. But apart from that i have nothing else planned

I shag on the grit at least 2 times a week over summer. So if you're in Birmingham let me know.

I want to go climbing in Europe in September. Nothing's realistically going to be planned for this until the summer though as no clue what I'm gonna be doing with my life then ha, but, I'll keep you in the loop if any plans get made.... I wanna go do some sport and bouldering in the sun :)

I've been looking at the dolomites and I think that could be a serious plan for sport/trad climbing. Solves the currency and price issue as well.

Have a look! Looks like some of the sport crags have plenty of easier stuff for us lesser-able folk as well :D

Yea, I looked at the Dolomites last year (before a van decided to knacker my hand). I agree there does seem to be alot about for everyone, boulder, single pitch, multi pitch and via ferrata (world war iron walkways). We looked at mixing sport with longer via ferrata style routes. I have one guidebook on via ferrate routes if people are interested.

Awesome! What do you want to do climbing-wise? Do you want to/can you drive?

Looking to get on some boulders and sport, sunbathe quite a bit, and picnic most days on some grassy mountainside.

I've been liaising with Bessa Taston and a few others I think, so one of us will be driving, but will let you guys know about spaces! Having said that Harry Yarrow has made a good bid for car buddyship though! Anyway rest assured enough car space can be provided from this end.
