Right, I want to get organising and booking a trip to Alps this Summer! So who wants to come/is going to the Alps in July? Ideally I would like to go in last 3/4s of July and spend a week in Ecrins region and a week in Chamonix? I might possibly be able to get free accommodation in Ecrins for a couple of people :)

So, who's coming?

I'm definitely up for going to the Alps, but am only around until the 20th of July or so. I was thinking of heading out in late June, depending on what people are doing with the Conville course and stuff. I think it's best to wait until the dates are back for that (end of April) before booking anything to see when people are free! :D

Dates anybody? Say mid July for two weeks? When I'm told the weather is typically its best/most stable?

I don't know when the pros/regulars to the Alps will be going TG&Rosie?/Alice,Lodgy?

I only ask as the sooner I can book these holiday dates , the less resistance I'll get with my managers & the cheaper the flight bookings will be!

Keep me posted on your plans guys. :)

Also, thinking logistically.... would this coincide with the "Road Trip" crew? If so, we could all save a bit on the flights by persuading the Cars to take our metal! i.e. axes & crampons, that's easily 2kg saved right there! :P

Jake and I were thinking of a week in Ecrins, a week in Cham and possibly a week travelling down initially visiting font and sporty french areas? And we were thinking of driving also?

I have a license. I 'can' drive. I haven't driven a vehicle in quite some time though. So maybe I'm not the best candidate to put on your insurance! :/

I thought your axes were so light they actually have negative mass? Or is that me getting confused...

Shoes: Scarper Boostersss! yeh boi!
Would people be up for going for the whole of July? My first choice on the conville course is the 4th July in Cham. So if i get that (fingers crossed)...then it may work well for me to stay out over july (working June instead). would be well up for spending more time out in chamonix and then the Ecrins after that!

I'm also a driver (no crashes over the last 3 years :D ) and i've got a roof box and bars that i'm sure could fix to your honda!

Would a couple of weeks in the alps suit at the beginning of July instead of mid?

:D

Unfortunately I'm only free last 3 weeks of July so that would be best for me :( But we should definitely meet up after you've done your course :) Do you know when the other's are planning to do their courses?
