The time has finally come when the (in)famous ANNUAL DINNER is on the horizon. A weekend of climbing in the Lake District, the biannual return of meanie and a respectable (or not so respectable) formal meal where we reminisce on some of the best and disgraceful highlights of the year and give out various awards to club members. IT'S A MUST-BE-THERE OCCASION

When: 21st-23rd Feb
Where: Lake district
How much: £55 (£45 for drivers) it may seem a bit more expensive than the other trips but it covers 3 course meal and transport to and from the hotel as well as the usuals (accomodation, travel)

Now for the important bit:
Annual dinner is THE most popular trip of the year and so will sell out fast so make sure you get your money in fast to avoid disappointment!
Sign up is... WEDNESDAY 5TH FEB. Emma and Lizzie will be INSIDE the Guild from 12.45 so come and attack us with your money from then. We are NOT taking money before because it isn't fair on people who turn up at the right time. If you can't make it give your money to someone who can!
Also please come with your food preferences
FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!

What to bring:
-any climbing equipment you own (harnesses and helmets can be borrowed)
-waterproofs and warm clothing. Lots and lots and lots.
-walking boots/footwear suitable for muddy ground
-sleeping bag (the warmer the better)
-roll mat (if you have one, there are beds but these are limited)
-You will need food and drink for Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday breakfast/lunch. We have a scrumptious 3 course meal planned for Saturday.

Food Choices for the Resturant:

Starters:
Soup of the day (with a homemade bread roll)
Prawn and crayfish cocktail with marie rose sauce
Ham hock terrine

Mains:
Pot roasted lamb rump
Pan seared seabass
sautéed wild mushroom and parmesan risotto

Dessert:
Sticky toffee pudding
Vanilla Cheesecake
Ice cream/sorbet


Remember to get your money to us asap at 12.50 in the Guild before/at Redpoint on Wednesday to secure your place! Good luck!

To those in my bus I shall be stopping off about half way at an Asda so you can do a little shopping. As an added bonus it also contains a McDonald's if you want an easy Friday night dinner.

I'll try not to drink all the Meanie until we have arrived...
