I am proud to announce that UBMC's main weekly Wednesday meet will now be held at Redpoint climbing centre. After careful consideration by the committee and meetings with both Redpoint and Creation it has been decided that Redpoint will be the new venue of choice for Wednesday afternoons. There are a number of reasons for the swipsie swapsie, far too many to go into with any great detail.

However, if you'd care to look below you'll find a little taster of things to come:

Wednesday Afternoons

> No other group bookings.
> £3.50 entry.
> Equipment hire 50p an item inc. boots, belays and harnesses.
> More thoughtful, sexy and intricate lines than you can shake a Gri-Gri at.

Competitions

> An exclusive UBMC comp before Xmas.
> Cotswolds to sponsor prizes £25/£15/£5 vouchers - for each gender plus a raffle prize.
> Only £3.50 for entry to the centre meaning the comp is free.
> A number of those who don't want to compete can help with the route setting.

Monthly Passes

> -10% discount on all monthly passes for UBMC members only

Halloween Lock-In

> £10 for regular UBMC members - as per the Summer term
> £8 for this years freshers and anyone with a 1/3/6 month pass
> Redpoint to provide prizes for best dressed etc.

The first Wednesday meet of the year will be taking place on the 30th September - less than two weeks away! We'll need as many experienced members as possible on hand to help care for and inspire the hundreds of enthusiastic freshers arriving next week - so get it in your diary folks!

Regards transport to and from the centre the Committee are working round the clock to make sure getting there and back again is both slick and cheap. Keep checking the forums and the front page of the website itself for more info regards all the events happening in the upcoming weeks.

Really excited about this, I'll obv be there, and i'm designing my halloween costume as we speak!!!! yay!

Although this is not too important, it would be a good idea to wear a UBMC-related shirt or something, this is for ease of identification so freshers can see who we are.
