.. and with this comes my question for more Selly Oak-surroundings savvy :)

.. is there any nice place (outdoor) near SO where you can have a little picnic or drink a few beers which is quiet and with reasonably nice view? I do not mean any park, just place in the nature where you can have some quiet party :)

Is there anything like this in 5-10km radius?

You could try Licky Hills, on the trainline out of town just get of at Barnt Green(I think) its ok and pretty easy to get to.

yeah, licky hills is nice, im sure rich knows a bit bout it. aslo there is cannon hill park a little nearer or in fact bilesley common near yardley wood, woodgate valley other side of Harborne and further north, cannock chase
