Work are throwing out a load of 30/40m static ropes that have come to the end of their lifetime. They were part of evacuation kits from wind turbines and haven't been used and are still on their reels.

Are they any good to anyone or the club? If so, they're free. Obviously with no warranty or anything.

They're probably not long enough for many places where you'd need one, Pembroke/Gogarth/Swanage.

How are you doing Rob? It's been a while, are you still interested in buying my drunmkit?

I would quite like one of the 40m ones. I don't think the club will be allowed them due to lack of warranty etc.

They are definately useful for the caving side of the club (as we mostly need much shorter lengths than for climbing).

If the club can't take them (we aren't allowed second hand kit, not sure how this stands, is probably ok if unused), then me or Rich will take them and then bring them on caving trips as our own equipment for people to use (which is allowed).

Happy to come and collect, not sure where you are nowadays, but would definately be mighty useful.

Hey MILF-Hunter! I'm doing ok, wish I was still a student, but I've found a job I really enjoy so I guess it aint all bad I am still interested in the drumkit but I'll be about 6 months before I have somewhere to keep it - feel free to sell it to someone else in the mean time.

As for the rope. How many do you want?.. There's probably about 8 of them. I'm in Welshpool, Whales now but can drop off in brum on the 15th?

If you're only going to throw them away we can find homes for them no problem, would solve a lot of gear problems for caving and save the club some money!
