Hi!

We're a quarter of the way through the year, which means it's time to submit your quarterly reviews! By using analysis and statistics we can have more fun!

These reviews should include a list of all of your climbing club related

Successes
Training techniques
Improved Aims
Set backs

Sport routes-0 of 7- sportland trip anyone?
Alpine routes-0 of 7- tricky to get a long enough trip with good enough weather to get this many done
Trad routes-0 of 35- these should be mostly multipitch, still not that many to do
Winter routes-2 of 13- tricky as this really depends on condition
Boulder problems-163 of 327-Half way through!

Font 7C- Up to Font 7a+ this year so far.
Fitness for Font (3 font 7s in font) - I'm feeling pretty good for font, I've got a bit lighter (76kg) and been climbing lots, so I'm pretty hopeful!
10 pull ups in a row- managed this, new target 20 or maybe 10 with 10kg extra...
New solutions- Done, they're like magic shoes...
New routes-still there... The last one we tried wasn't frozen enough, spotted a new line which looks great next to it though, 3 pitches of pure water ice which looks about II/III with a pitch of maybe tech 4. Below are some boulders to try when it gets sunny again (location hint: They're in midwales):

Lead E2 ?!? Lead E2 and E3!! (Does slate count? :?)
Boulder Font 7a Only up to 6b+ but bouldering doesn't really count :P
Lots of DWS in Summer! Got the guidebook and the enthusiasm, just waiting for the water to warm up a bit, though was tempted last weekend
Get lots more alpine mountaineering done in Summer :D Need to get planning
RP 7a indoors? Hmm maybe next year :P

Yessss! I love quarterly reviews....

By next year, I aim to:

- Buy ski touring ski's and go on a proper ski tour!
- shag Berlin's Fallen (Nesscliffe) - I really can't let another year go by still only one move from the end!
- Finish knitting Tom's jumper (by Font in April)
- Be able to boulder (some) V5's (outdoors of course)

So,
- I have been looking for ski touring skis and have been saving money for winter time
- I haven't climbed Berlin's, mostly due to my set back, but I will be working near Nesscliffe permanently after easter so getting the time in shouldnt be too difficult!
- I Have finished the Jumper with a week to spare!!(see below)
- And have done some v4's so my pyramid is on track for some more v5s

But, I have had a set back in the form of a damaged a2 pulley on my ring finger  which is very annoying, but I think I'm on the slow road to recovery.

Boulder V6
Flashed one. If you believe the guidebook. Which you shouldn't.

Do more trad multipitch
Done some smaller stuff in the Peak and off to Whales in a couple of weeks so looking good here.

Do some sport multipitch!
Not yet. Hatching a plan to go Cheddar...

shag VS without worrying too much
I still worry but less so. Kirkus' Route at Craig Lloer will be good test of VS and multipitch :)

F6c/+ O/S and F7's on the RP
Got a 6c/+ RP and toproped some harder things (7a o/s and 7a+ RP but who counts topropes?!)
Need to go to Llanymynech soon!

Keep training weaknesses
Plans laid for a fingerboard
Getting better at open handed climbing
Much better at lock-off moves than the back end of last year

2nd Quarter Climbs Wishlist
Kirkus' Route VS 5a, Craig Lloer
To Wish the Impossible F7a, Blacknor South
Jack the Smuggler F7a (soft), Llanymynech Quarry

Those are the big ones at the moment, lots more to do of course! :D

Get into ski mountaineering! [anybody up for a spot of this sometime 2012!? - you may have to teach me!]
Start work on ticking off the requirements for the BMG.
Either get more money, or spend less so My Income is > My Expenditure! :?

Oh & did I mention learn how to shag again!?

Found a flat!
Did a ski course to improve my technique

Yes! I can't wait. Bring on the White Mountain. I might as well tick it off. Getting back my cardio atm... however running in london is dull! & sometimes dangerous.

See you on the 8th!
