The lovely Meg and myself are putting together a journal to document the last couple of years in UBMC, and we want you to submit the content for us.

Wait, why?: It's been a couple of years since the last UBMC journal commemorating 80 years of stoaty happenings, and a lot has happened since then! A journal is also a really nice way of remembering your time in the club no matter how long you have been a member. When you are old you can look back at it and be like, yeah. UBMC. That shit was awesome.

You want the content from me?:
Yep - you are limited only by your imagination. We plan to include trip reports and photo's but member's can submit anything they like - stories of particularly memorable events, socials, epics, a dictionary of UBMC terms (someone has to define the term 'doing an Emma,' after all...), poems, a story from members who went to either France over the summer of 2012 or Italy over the Summer of 2013 - the sky is really the limit.

How do I get involved?: Think of an idea, let me and Meg know what it is, and then get cracking. We don't have a deadline for when we need content yet so watch this space for more information!

We will be selling the journals later in the year as UBMC keepsakes :)

An incredible story about one man's journey to conquer the most straight forward and least strenuous lines in Britain.

From how the first line was written, having forgot the whole meatloaf autoedit, I thought this was a pun on how dams were damnable. I expected an epic tale of woe about a horrible dam you once climbed. (Or possibly an exploit to the country of Jordan.)

I'm too busy and important (/a bad writer) to submit anything, but some suggestions/memories from France 2012 to get inspiration rolling:

Jake ending up in his panties in a water fountain
The rules to "Big deal, Not-a big deal"
Being told to shut up and move at every single campsite... responsibility lying with *cough*Heather*cough*
The wrath of skinny dippers who've 'lost' their clothes

What a great game. I think we should patent the rules.
