I have a few questions for you..
I am thinking about going to a small trip to peaks, we want to go there for a weekend of camping/walking. How is it in peaks with camping? Is it generally allowed, or are there any specialised camping sites? And since I do not have a car, how is to get there by bus/train? (I was thinking about car rental, but it have an old version of my driving license and I am not sure if it is valid internationally).. any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I have seen people Bivvy on crags in caves etc like at stanage but it's still best to be discreet if you're going to bivvy, if you're on private land be prepared to be moved on. I'm sure there are campsites but the only one I know of is the one next to Hen Cloud, and as far as I know the only facility it has is a water tap.

Train and bus to the peak is fine depending on where you are going, getting around within it is another matter. Depending on where you want to go you can get trains to sheffield or stoke and get trains/buses from there.

if you dont mind paying a little more there is the don whillans memorial hut at the foot of the roaches. i think it is about £6/7 a night

camping is not normally allowed in the country unless in a proper campsite. there are however loads in the peaks and only charge about £4 a head. if ur struggling to find places i can help out. many are shown on OS maps of the area.
in 'open accesses land' (http://www.openaccess.gov.uk/) areas, although camping is not allowed, is generally acceptable to 'wild' camp as long as no mess, noise is made and that ur out of site is between 5pm and 8am ish.
as MILF-Hunter said trains and buses are fine-may take some time, but u'll get there. only issue is getting about once your there. but, having said that, u can plan for it and chose an area to camp and walk need train station. buxton, matlock, castleton, bake well are the more major towns i'd suggest investigating.

thank you all very much! I will try to do more detailed programme and post it here (after I buy proper map, google earth looks impressive, but is not very detailed mountain-wise..) .. all I know is that we will probably start in Edale.. thank you all again for help!
