summer may seem a bit far off but as i am in geneve airport waiting for my transfer to cham and am reading misadventures in a white dessert, it seemed quite apt.....
the application forms don`t need t be in till mid april but it is good to have a chat to ppl and sort out a little group, who`s going when etc... this will also include the usual student faff time
for anyone who doesnt know, it`s a very cheap, very very good 3 day introduction course into mountaineering in the alps. lots of the old gits have done the course, some good climbers, and well some, well less mountaineers more bimblers. as long as you know what an ice axe is and how to put a boot into a crampon you'll get a lot out! for more information there are links on the BMC website to the application. if anyone wants some help/advice or info just ask, i am sure others that have done the course will also be very keen to help.
i have spent 3 six week summers in cham, and they have all been amazing with a massive range of stuff to shag. from easy single pitch bolted rock, to 15 pitch semi bolted, from long scramble/VDiff`s to multi day alpine ridge traverses!!!
hope your all well and cheers for a cool Annual Dinner

ps i am sure there are ( use to be) some stunning photos in the gallery??
