This is a really important course where you can learn some invaluable skills in outdoor 1st aid.
The guy who runs this is big into the outdoors and really knows his stuff. I would recommend this heavily to anyone who hasn't done it.

Because it is specific to outdoor 1st aid you will learn things that other courses dont cover (last year Rose did it even though she had done life guard 1st aid, ask her how useful it was!)

It will cost £60 which is heavily subsidised by the club (It should be nearly £100) and will run on 25/26 April.

Don't leave it to others to have the 1st aid skills, one day they might not be there so get on the course!!!!!!!!

People on so far:
JCB
Alice
Jay Kay
Sarah
Tess
Katy M
Steve
Andy C
Rachel

Never done anything of the sort, but I'm interested. :) Should be able to fit it in-between revision.

I have done this course twice (to keep it current, 3 years apart) and it is really good. You learn all the stuff you hope you never need to know, but probably should know just in case.

The price is a bargain, and it is (I think) certified by most of the bodies you would want it to be - MLTB, RYA, BCU etc. So that means you need it for SPA certification.

Alice I've sent it to your UBMC account

Guys 1st aid courses may sound dull but this really isn't, it's actually really good fun with plenty of practical aspects. Starley is right this sort of course is essential if you want any outdoor qualifications!

Steve, check your email. I would highly recommend doing this to anybody, for the price of £60, what you will learn is invaluable, It looks good a CV becuase it shows you are able to apply problem solving techniques to emergency situations and make do with what supplies you have at your finger tips. it also goes through a lot of general day to situations that mean you will not be the person panicing and running about screaming should an incident occur to a member of a group your on.

I've got 4 more places on this guys, these are skills that could potentially save someones life so £60 is not alot to pay, especially as we are paying £40 for each of you on top of that. You will not find a course this good for cheaper!!!!!!!!

If you havn't done it before or know someone who hasn't get in touch before it gets offered to other clubs

It's under Amazing Ropeworks Course Katie!

We get our loans through around this time which is £1000 for a 6 week term, this is the perfect time to get these courses done they are so cheap!!!!!!!!!!
