Is this saturday. This is your chance to pit your skills against other universities, or to enjoy a friendly competitive competition. The joy of these comps is they are sooooo laid back that the people you are competing against usually give you handy tips and solutions to problems your finding difficult.

Their allowing us to take more people than expected and for no extra cost. Therefore entrance to this competition is free. Considering climbing at the Castle is usually well expensive, this is a really good chance to get in there without burning a hole in your wallet.

The only cost will be petrol to and from Birmingham to London on the day. This will be sorted out by the driver.

We can take 11 competitors, these so far include:

Me
Byron Orde
Alek Kumar
Helen 'one armer' Dale
Paul Baillie
Clara
Alaina
Jack B

If you are on this list and cannot make it let me know ASAP. For those who want to come on saturday let me know ASAP.

Get Psyched.

Is it at the castle or the arch?? The facebook group says the arch (but the castle would be better!)

Kamar would like to add that the B team came 5th. They ommitted our team score because they claimed Alaina didn't count as a girl.

Nice article! I Like the joke about the best climbers from bham uni ever! Believe it or not Some pretty nails guys went to this club, it's not so long since the girls were climbing at least E3 and the boys E6/7! We've even had some famous climbers, Ben Heason for example... Also they do say that the further south you go the softer the uni climbing clubs are, and we didn't even beat Brighton!

Still, Good effort guys!

To be fair, the south really can't be that good, I came second and I've only been climbing for 18months.

PS E7 is nails. That is a (excuse my bad language) good effort. Shame there isn't any history on this website.

Brighton's nearest wall is 20 mins away and the bouldering is awful there. The only crags they have in a 50 mile radius are a few single pitch sandstone crags which you can't lead and being from Brighton I'm guessing most of the blokes turned up in leotards and handbags!

How did you not beat them................ :(
