Did you miss out on Stanage? Do you want a weekend of climbing in beautiful North Whales? Of course you do!

This year's trip to Ogwen is getting close so sign up ASAP to avoid disappointment! This trip is always popular.

To guarantee your place please pay me as soon as you can. I will be signing up at Redpoint tomorrow. If you cannot make it (and there are still places left) I can meet you on campus on Thursday and Friday.

WHEN will this marvellous event be taking place? Fri. 12th - Sun. 14th of Oct. (Meet at 18:00 outside the Munrow)

WHERE will we be going? HERE The MAM hut by the side of the big lake in the centre of the picture to be precise!

HOW much will I have to pay? The bargain price of £25 (£15 for drivers)

WHAT on Earth do I need to bring?! Here is a short list of the essentials:

  • A rucksack
  • Any climbing gear you already own
  • Warm clothes (lots of thinner layers are better than one thick layer)
  • Waterproofs (incl. trousers if you have them!)
  • A sleeping bag
  • Food for the weekend (we can stop on the way)
  • A headtorch - If you don't own one they are a sound investment

Who's car am I in anyway?

Matt Radford's Cheshire Chaser:
LARD-HUNTER Atillia
Jack "Filthy" Evans
Felicity "6 of 9" Borg

MILF-Hunter's Crack-Fisting Cruiser:
Amy (yeunnonen) Junnonen
Naomi Wilkins
"Good Looking" Will Chapman
Jenny Brown

Robin's Yellow Bellied Banger:
Camille" Je ne parle pas Francais" Du Pont
Steven Bowcott
Joe Billingsley

Leonie CLIThero's Party Polo:
Ellie Orde
Mark Chev
Emma Hanlon

James Woodman's MASSIVE (but not quite as boxy as before) Wood Wagon:
Harry Thorpe
Carina "Drink Stealer" McGovern
FISH CHUGGER "Fish" Hill
Anushka Puri

Christina of the M.A.M's Motor:
Harry "Garry" Y
Heather M.
Laura Caldwell

Doug's DUBmobile:
KEEN FRESHER Cooper
Hazel McLean
Sam "Wave Jumper" Hockley

As a great man once said:

"North Whales is definitely the best climbing venue in the world! For those of you new to the world of trad climbing there are plenty of excellent low grade multi-pitch routes in the Ogwen valley, myself and other club members will be more than happy to take you up some of these. For those of you with more experience the neighbouring Llanberis pass is home to many ultra-classic harder routes."

If you need to get in touch with me my mobile number is on the committee page of the website

I'll see you in Whales (and probably before that too :D)

Harry

Ruth and I might be there for one night, not sure which night though. If theres no room in the hut we could always bring a tent.

How busy is 'a little busy', señor Yarrow? Jake and I would like to come along, since Stanage was such jolly good fun!

We can always camp. Xx

I tried to reply this morning but it looks like it didn't work...

Anyway.

As Mr. Thorpe said, the hut and garden are full to capacity with stoats and MAM so the best option is likely to be camping across the road and joining our shenanigans that way.

Let me know what you decide to do!
