Does this happen to anyone else? Sometimes it's all white when there are lots of new posts.

I know that if I log in, and then log off without reading some of the posts, they won't be orange the next time I log in.

Is that what you mean?

Mines compeltely fucked. I have to sign in twice and even when I click the 'keep me signed in' it signs me out after a couple of hours, it rarely marks new posts as orange, and when it does it won't stop marking them as orange unless I click 'mark all topics read' although even that doesn't always work.

Sometimes it thinks I'm logged in when I'm looking at the list of rooms, then logs me out when I go into a room, however clicking back to the list says I'm logged in again, hurrah.

Bassically, it's fucked. I'm fairly sure it's not my computer as I don't have this problem on any other forum, there's just something wrong with ftr's cookies.

it's not because you're logging into/looking at different 'versions' of the website is it?

example:
www.ftr.burntwires.com is different from ftr.burntwires.com is different from burntwires.com/ftr etc etc

I can't remember much about how phpbb works and whether it always sets cookies for/uses one specific address or not...

(oops, showing my geeky side here  )

Er, no, I and I imagine most others looking at the site have it bookmarked because we are all sad and come here often so always accessing it through the same address. Besides, there's only so many different addresses we could use and the problems been going on a while/ever since the site was set up, so we'd have had to use hundreds, if not thousands, of different ones to still be experiancing the problem.

ah, ok :)

just noticed though, if I click topic names it stays on the subdomain, but if I click the little orange icon next to the name it redirects (the link looks right when you hover but when it actually loads it's redirected me, hmm).

which is odd.

I think it's just something to do with how the site stores cookies that is fucked, rather than individuals, as it seems to be problems a lot of people are having and isn't replicated on any other forums.

my solution is to just lurk on the forum without logging in and refresh like every five minutes.

That way you never miss a new post!

We are aware of the various issues that some people have, and they are likely to get fixed in the near future. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Mine now won't update posts, whos online etc unless I log in. ie, when I come on ftr it shows the view from I think last night until I log in, then it updates. If this makes any sense

Is anyone else having this problem?
