On thursday 12th March at some point in the afternoon the forum will be turned off for a maximum of 24hrs. This is to allow the forum to transferred over to the new website with there being no loss in posts/information. It should not take more then 24 hrs for this task to be completed but this is the time that i have been quoted.

The new website, which has been designed and built by Petr for us, will include many features that are long overdue for a club as large as ours, such as interactive calendars providing upcoming events well in advance, photo galleries and web pages which will be easier to update for the committee thus giving more information onto you guys.

If it all goes well, i'll see you on the new website, if it doesn't you'll see the same one for a little bit longer.

Phil

Please note that the following usernames have been changed so they will work on the new system:

Michaf C! is now Michaf C G
Gwil! is now Gwil
Simon! is now Simon H
Kate&Carla! is now KateandCarla
Faith :) is now faith
ian ;p is now ian p
bs is now bs_

Everything related to your username will remain the same, just the username you use to log in has been changed. I did email you all to the email address you registered with.

Also some users were registered with same email for multiple accounts - that had to be removed. I kept the most recent account (case for tom bide).

Any problems let me know.
Phil & Petr

of course! Do you have a flickr account? If you do, you can upload them yourself, if you do not, just find a way to get them to me - if you are using Mesh, you can share them with me there, or just use email..

Just out of curiosity, if one does have a flickr account... how can we upload the photos to the site?

just tell me your user id and set id and I can add them to the photo album. There is no actual uploading, all pictures transferred from flickr. Just make sure the set/pictures in it are public...

Is it not possible to make it so anyone can upload (or link or whatever) photos? I'm sure you'd get more photos up that way
