What A chance to compete in a bouldering competition with all the other Universities in the country

When Saturday 15th March

Where The Climbing Works in Sheffield. The wall we went to on the bouldering trip

Cost Possibly just petrol money. Depending on interest and drivers available, there may or may not be a cost to enter

Special difference with this comp We are required to enter 2 route judges. This is the task of overseeing a route to check that people are competing correctly. I realise that it will not be the first choice of many of you to give up a day to watch other people climbing, but we can only enter if we also bring route judges. Ask Starley about this as he was a route judge last year. I think you get to stay in a pair and you also get a t-shirt!

If you are interested Check your availibility for 15th March (it clashes with the rat race). Post if you would like to go and can make it, and let me know if there are any changes. I will be sending the entry form with details of competitors and reserves on 7th February so aim to know for definite by then. Post as soon as possible though, so that I can plan the team and other competitors.

This is a separate competition from scuibl, but has basically the same procedure with a few differences, such as the route judges. The main thing is that it has the same fun and relaxed atmosphere!

If you have any questions, just ask me.

If im free (which I'll have to check) will definitely be there, with car. Route judges also got free climbing afterwards and some free food last year - which will almost certainly happen again.

I went as the route judge last year, and it was still good fun. Yes I did get a free T-Shirt, and yes I did get free food. Bargain. And did a bit of bouldering after the comp as well.

If I'm free, yes. To either compete or judge.

Oh yeah, it clashes with the rat race if anyone's interested in that too.

I will come it would be cool to boulder but if better boulderers than me (which is pretty much everyone) want to compete I would be up for judging.
