I went down to Bristol yesterday to see a couple of friends from uni and called in at the new dedicated bouldering centre (http://www.theclimbingacademy.com) and it was ace!! So...I thought maybe we could organise a little trip for all the bouldering enthusiasts at birmingham.

I was thinking maybe the first weekend back at uni, on the 17th as there is no UBMC trip planned for this weekend. The drive down to bristol takes roughly an hour and a half - 2 hours. Cost will be £5 to become a member then £5 for climbing on the day (as long as we arrive between 12-3) so ten pounds altogether plus any petrol money! I think if you enjoy your bouldering you will think it well worth it!

If people could reply if they are interested then we can sort out any finer details as the date gets nearer...

Here's a short video from youtube of the centre to wet your appetites.. (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9TvXyXUM94k)

hmm think this trip is a no go for now :( but one of the bouldering competitions the club is involved in is being held there so people who wanted to go and take a peek could always travel down with the teams...
