Guys, def take sensible walking shoes as if you go down to blacknor undercliff or blacknor cliffs at all the walk down isnt amazing, and if you go down to godnor north, the descent is ok but there is some boulder scrambling at the bottom so it might just be easier to wear good shoes.
Some climbing suggestions for freshers as ive been 3 times before:
*Fallen slab arete- blacknor undercliff. 3* 3 (I know even the easy climbs are pretty cool) (only go down if weather is nice or it will spoil the view)
*Bolt factory (blacknor undercliff, but be careful of the tide if you crawl through the cave)
*Jacobs ladder- godnor north
*Sling shot- blacknor north or south (cant remember)
*if any of you are brave enough to try a mild dws- temporary lifestyle at cave hole- go to portland bill lighthouse and if you are lookin at the lighthouse out to sea walk left along the coast and look for the crane. (not that we condone soloing on trips :p)
and be wary of the cuttings, the boudler field is very overgrown and much of the climbing is very polished. the higher up in grade the routes are they are slightly better but just be wary. and easy walk in too
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE AND I AM VERY JEALOUS I CAN'T GO
