Perodua Kenari - £400Moving to Australia for a year unfortunately means that I am going to have to bid farewell to the love of my life
. Due to it's shear beauty my car has earnt a bit of a reputation over the last term, and I think it would be fantastic to keep it within the club, so if you want a cheap, extremely reliable car and don't mind looking like a bit of a twat, this is for you!
Here's a few details:
- Perodua Kenari GXi (Yes, it's a GXi not just a standard model!)
- X reg (2001)
- Taxed until September 2011, MOT'd until December 2011
- 989cc, meaning extremely cheap to insure!
- 85,000 miles on the clock
- 3 uncareful owners resulting in a dent in every panel of the car (none of which were done by me)
- manual gearbox
- 4 seater (back seats which recline individually)
- Averages 35 - 40 mpg
- CD player, immobiliser, alarm, cigarette lighter and fog lights (all the possible extras you can get on a Kenari)
- The roof rack and boot fit bouldering mats perfectly, and the seats fold almost flat, perfect for sleeping in!
- Terminal velocity 85mph
- Unbelievable amounts of headroom
I drove one of these all the way from London to the capital of Mongolia last summer. 8,600 miles in 26 days over some of the shittest roads in the world and arrived having only 1 puncture and slightly broken rear suspension. What this car doesn't have in looks it makes up for in reliability!
I need to get rid of it before May, so if you're interested all I'm asking for is
£400, although I am expecting everyone is going to want to fight for it, in which case I'll auction it. Thought I'd whack it on here though before it goes on eBay.
