THE SCOTLAND TRIP!!!From the
28th December to the 4th January, UBMC's annual Scotland trip is a week of Stoaty winter fun, full of mountaineering, ice-climbing, bivvy-sledding and extreme weather conditions. Best of all, we'll be spending the last night of 2018 dancing through the streets at the fabled Grantown Ceilidh. If you think that the New Year should be spent with family, bring your nan. This is not one either of you will want to miss!
For those of you who have never been winter mountaineering, maybe never even seen snow, then the Scotland trip is the perfect introduction for you! Pinnacles of Achievement will be running a two day winter skills course at the start of the trip, and will teach you everything you need to know to stay safe and operate well in the mountains. This course is compulsory for novices (come and have a chat if you're unsure where you stand), but UBMC will be subsidising it from £110 to £55. There are only 12 places on the course however, so sign up quickly!
The price for the week is
£175 (+ £55 if you're on the course). Online sign ups will be next week on
Tuesday 20th at 7.00pm.We'll also be running a navigation training event and crampon fitting before the trip, dates TBC.
If you have any questions about the trip I should be at Redpoint this week, so just come find me
(or drop me a message on facebook).
