That article says the party was both well equipped and not properly equipped. I can't see any of the imperial lads not being properly equipped, their club axes are petzl quarks.

Either way hope he gets better soon.

I think the article is discussing the chap who slipped on Glyder Fawr as being unequipped. Like you pointed out with all that shiny gear they have there really is no reason for them to be ill-equipped.

On the Ogwen mountan rescue web site it says He fell off while leading Tower slabs which is a Grade II/III, It's a good route actually and comes into condition pretty early most years as it's high up and forms good water ice. It's not Very hard though, there's one steepish little bit low down and the rest is pretty easy really, I'm not sure how you'd fall off it! It's a fun route to do if you're in that area!
