TeachFirst food&wine&inspiration evening (&food&wine):

Have you ever thought about contributing to the education system? Does inspiring young students appeal to you?

You can do these things, and more, by considering becoming involved with TeachFirst. TeachFirst is an independent charity working to address one of the UK’s most damaging social issues – educational disadvantage. We recruit exceptional graduates and experienced professionals into a two-year leadership development programme during which they become classroom teachers, engage and inspire young people, and develop the skills and behaviours to take up leadership positions in any future career.

On the 11th October at 18:30 in Arts Lecture Room 5, you will have the chance to meet people who have already been through the program, hear their story of how they taught 5 classes for two years, and how they changed young students' paths towards bigger and better options. And there will be food and wine available.

TeachFirst and Climbing are hoping to become very close friends over the next year, as your members are the exceptional graduates (to be) that we want to see addressing educational disadvantage.
