Camping ain't all bad, but i'm only doing it so I don't have to teach and the dream team can live on.

Also can people please not jump on an "E1" just because I said I found it easier than what grade it gets, that wasn't my point. In fact Fool's Gold is quite a fitting name for the route.

I've been wanting to do this route since the last time I visited Bus Stop, didn't know you'd done it till I mentioned it to you. I don't plan on 'jumping on it' if the weather's off, I'd rather chicken out and do a fun VS/HVS instead.

& If I end up teaching, I guess its out of the window completely. :|

I have arranged with Roger to take one of the MAM spaces - but can I still have a lift with the club please? :)

Your comment is fair laurence. If someone was to go and try fools gold thinking that it was easier than other E1's and felt they could do it based on your comment, and something happened i'm pretty sure you'd feel bad and thats not fair on you. So you pointing out it is still a serious shag is fair.

All this talk about wanky slate, folks cant see the wood for the trees. North Whales is spelt D-I-N-A-S C-R-O-M-L-E-C-H.

I think you mispelled that Gareth, it's actually spelt P-A-R-I-S-E-L-L-A-'-S.

Thats more like what I was trying to say guys, the fitting name for the route bit was going a bit too far, do whatever you want with your weekend, its not a bad route by any means. Speaking from my own experience (in my time i've never missed an Ogwen trip!) and as someone who used to prefer small single pitch routes, climbing up around Dinas Cromlech and Dinas Mot in the Pass wins every time!

THOSE CAMPING!

Across the road from the hut is a bunk house which has heating, a drying room and a kitchen area.
If you would like to stay in this instead of camping PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY TONIGHT (MON 1st), SO I CAN BOOK IT.

The bunk house costs £8 a night, for which the the club will pay £4 (same as everyone elses accomodation)

So it would just be an extra £8 for the whole weekend.
if you want more detail - http://www.tryfanwales.co.uk/

Let me know by tonight on
