I have some good general texts on climate change that I am not using at the moment so you might find helpful, gimme a bell if you need them and I'll drop them round.

Journals (log into athens):

Typed in glacial recession on kilimanjaro..

http://md1.csa.com/partners/viewrecord.php?requester=gs&collection=ENV&recid=4326243&q=kilimanjaro+ice&uid=791660463&setcookie=yes
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/abstract/107630666/ABSTRACT?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1365-2486.2005.00968.x

I couldn't help you with the science without some background on what's happening/reading up on it but if you have a more specific question I'll try and help. Search on google scholar there are dozens of papers about the ice cap on kilamanjaro retreating, 100s about ice retreat and 1000s on climate change.
