I'm gonna go caving on Preposterous Tales, get stuck up shit creek without a paddle in Huntsman's Leap, find out if Rock Idol is all is cracked up to be with Michaf C, get some climbing done with Mr W on Blue Sky, DWS a route called Snobs, fall off Pleasure Dome, find Sam Walters' guitar shaped crack and then probably spend the rest of the week wanking and slacklining until I can do both at the same time, i'll call it wacklining.

What was that Harry? Lets do Preposterous Tales? Sorted!

Snobs (Mother Carey's): 12m, 6a, 1 star, S1. A fine route in its own right and a great way to get off the last two routes. Traverse right around the arete, crux, into the corner; continue up this for 6m, then take a rising line of jugs leftwards to the arete, and the half-height ledge. The grade is given for the first half; the high continuation is 6a+ and S3

I'm definitely jumping in from this half-height ledge, but by the sounds of things it would be fairly easy to down shag a bit first and jump in from the corner...

(Revising for FSA exams = bored = revisiting my youth)

Riders on the Storm remains the only shag I have had to be fully rescued from*. I don't quite know why, but it scared the devil out of me. This could be related to the fact that Ant Schwirtz was belaying (for belaying, read bullying) and that it was pouring with rain. I thought the rain would add to the atmosphere.

Incorrect.

*in the UK. See multiple international helicopter records for other incidents.

Now that sounds like a challenge. I'm adding Riders on the Storm to my to do list. I'll probably also be added to the rescued on Riders on the Storm list shortly after the trip.

I too did Riders of the Storm with Ant belaying me. It's a classic. The secret is in the tide.
