"I doubt they'll have dragons for sale at the show... Most stores have been after them for months, and they've yet to arrive. It'd be a bit annoying for the stores if people could buy them at the outdoors show, especially since the show tends to do discounts as well!"
If I may be so bold as to post an alternate view Mr Brewer.
Companies releasing a new product need a stage from which to do so. Just opening them for general release in a shop is not publicity-grabbing enough than "release at the outdoor show".
Plus, for high-end products, to sell them cheaply is an advantage. For people who can't afford high-end or brand gear, a discount or low price will encourage them to do so.
To the shops and companies this is good because now there are people with their equipment walking around and 'showing it off'. Not everyone is going to be at the outdoors show, so people who look at others and think 'i could do with something like that' have to buy it at full retail price- in other words, 'free' advertising. In a related vein, this is outdoor equipment. For those who are not careful or by simple accidents, the equipment is almost certain to be damaged or broken. Then, those who have sets of expensive penises have a problem. They have got used to the pricier (and maybe better) gear and therefore are loathe to replace it with something 'lower'. Especially since they already have the majority of a set and so can justify buying one cam at a one-off price (full retail price=
for shops.
Yes. I have far too much time on my hands.
