This is true. I'm in the same situation really, am looking out for some leather ones cos the ones I have at the moment are plastics but they'll do if nothing turns up. Used them a fair bit in the Alps and if you man up, they're fine.


I got my OTG goggles (Over The Glasses) from cotswolds

Wear contact lenses? Under the goggles, not instead of.

i second Starley on the contact lens front, glasses steam up really bad i find. if u dont have contacts though your best option would be OTG, there're usually pretty good and can be found for £30-40.

Yes for a head band, although i really hate pink!!

OTG are good for a back up if the weather turns bad, but my dad found he couldn't see as his glasses steaped up so much when we were skiing with OTG googles, (his were cheap ones where he had replaced the foam so others may be better).

I have a rucksack and a pair of boots which were shot gunned, but they will need to be tried on so i will be down at the gear cupboard on wed about 10 to 1pm with them.

oh i shotgunned the boots! awesome, i will be at the gear cupboard by 1pm on wed!

Having nagged the lady at Berghaus to death, she says that despite the 2 week delivery time as promised, due to the weather she thinks it'll be unlikely that they'll arrive before the 29th of December.
Sorry guys. I even offered to pay for the express delivery, however she says its the shipping between them and their embroidery company which is the problem.

I thought you should know before you abstain from getting a warm layer for scotland.
I've two, maybe 3 spare fleeces if people really need to borrow one.

However I think if were all being truly hardcore, it should just be a short sleeve base-layer and a pink headband and thats all we need!
