On the 11th of October, you are probably aware that there is a half marathon taking place in Birmingham. My mother and I will be participating in this.
Neil was supposed to be joining us- however due to the 'incident' of last weekend... is now unable to.
As another consequence of 'the incident' I will be collecting sponsership for the Edale Mountain Rescue.

Edale Mountain Rescue Team (EMRT) operates in the UK's Peak District National Park and is one of the busiest Mountain Rescue Teams in the country. In 2008 team members were involved in 111 incidents. As a registered charity, the Mountain Rescue teams of our country operate on donations alone.

We all participate in the sort of activities which could one day see us requiring the help of such an awesome team.

Therefore all donations/ promises of sponsership will be very gratefully received. Please post within this group, or send me a message.

Michaf C fails to mention that the 111th was him, and involved 2 helicopters, 3 paramedics, 20 volunteers and a german shepherd to treat his grazed finger.

Admittedly it was quite a nasty graze..

It was steve with the sore finger and the helecopter!

I've never had a helecopter out but did help raise £700 for the air abmulance last year

Whilst I would like to be able to deny it, that is true.

Michaf C you are the safest faller I know, with an excellent flight record both in aeroplanes and out of them.

As im sure it was the same air ambulance peeps that took me to hospital then i will sponsor u for sure alice !! i prob shud do sumthing too in the future mebbe, even tho i wasn't seriously hurt those guys did a good job!! Hope neil is ok !!
