Normally I spend ages writing about how good something is when I'm trying to get you guys to sign up. SPA doesn't really need it.

1) If you want to do any climbing related work you will need your SPA
2) It not only improves how you teach others, you also learn alot about different ways to set up and stay safe
3) We are paying HALF of the cost of the training

If that doesnt sound good to you I think you should join the Wayfairies

So here are the details:

Cost: £50 + sign up fee to the MLTE scheme
Where: Peak district
When: 26th-27th September
Who: Training by Paul Smith (who has more climbing qualifications than anyone I know)

Sign up here, only 8 places you should have done around 15 leads and be able to lead about severe (that is what Paul recommends)

Those of you who are interested in signing up in this you are in a very fortunate position this year. Knowing full well you are all overworked underpaid broke students living in a so called 'credit crunch' we applied for additional funding to make this course even cheaper for you.

And now it's so cheap! This is a perfect confidence booster for those who want to further their climbing, don't feel you have to be the worlds best climber to do this either. Even if you do not wish to teach this will help virtually anyone in the club. (apart from those who only boulder and those who just plan to eat lots of food at the bottom of crags all year!)

This is a great deal and a great course. I did it a few years ago and it was really useful - its a handy course to help improve personal climbing/ropework skills even if you have no intention of using it to get the full SPA qualification.
