There is a south Whales and gower guide book in the cupboard, before someone takes it can I just photocopy a couple of pages?

Word of warning Michaf C, it's not exactly the most clear guidebook in the world. Distinct lack of pictures and full of descriptions like, "the second cleft right of the deep cleft round the corner" and "start to the right of the grassy slope" (not much use on a grassy hillside!). So make sure you photocopy enough pages to find where the hell the routes are! So many wasted hours. (Find a mate like I did who has the book and also already knows where bits are!)

Second Huw's "warning". What might also help is the website setup to help address some of those issues - found at:

Enjoy!

3 Cliffs is good - easy to find the crag and the lines. I have climbed there a couple of times - just be careful of the tides as it IS tidal!

Please may I borrow the following for my trip to France this summer:

A TNF Tent please for the Alps,
Ice axes
Crampons
Harness - [somebody told me my climbing one would not be as good as an alpine one :? - does the club have lightweight harnesses?]
2 or 3 prusiks approx 120cms circumference
2x 240cm (8 ft) slings (circumference)
HMS screw-gate karabiner because none of mine are acutall HMS ones! :|

These two are optional on the course's kit list but if I may borrow them, that would be awesome.
Ice screws (1 - 2 of them)
50 metre single rope
Shame we don't have any guide books for the alps... No worries!

I'll be going away from the 28th June - 18th July. I live in Wolvo, so I can return it as soon as is necessary.

Thanks! :)
