UBMC wants to know what climbing related shenanigans you got up to this Easter! Tell us the following:

1. Where you climbed [Top 3 Spots] (I realise 3 may be ambitious!)
2. What was your favourite/proudest/hardest shag

Any other funny anecdotes or stories throw them out too. GO!

1. I climbed up into the roof in tennis courts, and my hands got itchy from the fiberglass up there
2. I climbed upstairs
3. I climbed out of bed

The best moment was when my hands stopped itching

Lol!

The most common shag I've been enacting is the shag up the library stairs.

The most fun was at Clare's party climbing up and down her three storey house in between the bannisters, since they run in a kind of rectangle spiral - the type where when you look from the bottom you can see a sort of chimeny to the top, so were good to shag up.

Lost my Stanage virginity, twas special. Also sport climbed in a Holcombe Quarry and trad @ Ballygally.

Favourite route was Queersville @ Stanage.

Hardest/Scariest was Smoking Gun 6a+. 18m with only 8m worth of bolts. Finished on wires 1-3. Eeeeeek!

Neil and i had some fun in the Moelwyns before being 'weathered' out to tremadog.
best day involved 'one step in the clouds' and the 'micah eliminate' of christmas curry (a personal goal so was pretty pleased with myself)
i think Neil enjoyed Grim wall. i certainly didnt!

Seeing as i got out exactly 3 times this is pretty easy:

1. The Roaches,
2. Burbage South,
3. Newstones and The Roaches again,

Greatest achievement my first font 6a outdoors, well 6a+, horrendous footless start, sloper slappin overhang thing, wonderful. Oh and findin the best bangers and mash in the world.

Headed up to scotland for a long weekend, did a bit of snowy stuff on Sgorr Ruadh, which was awesome, except for the thigh deep powder on the walk in's which was pretty hard work! Went bouldering at nesscliffe which was great. And spent the last week ski mountaineering around andermatt which was pretty mega!!

All pretty different things, but all Super fun!

I did two joint favourites this Easter, both at Font, any more detail escapes me.

One was a slab that involved me thinking about my balance (and being taken down via a human lift). It took me a while to get to the top (felt a bit like Add-A-Move) so that's probably why I liked I so much on completion.

The second was a traverse along a slab mainly following a small crack that was just plain fun.

Oh dear, i just told mine to the University of Bristol Mountaineering Club. When i heard that "UBMC wants to know" that's the first thing that popped into my head.

My holiday climbing was fun but not noteworthy, however I was proud of becoming temporarily self-employed. Every week I withdrew some money from my account and then a minute later I payed it back in again. Then I'd give myself a pat on the back for a job well done. I also made carrot soup without any carrots; I used parsnips and an orange.
