WHAT: Xtreme Everest 2007. Climbing and Mountaineering over 8000m
A talk with Sensei Chris Imray (Hon reader in surgery at Warwick Medical School) talking about climbing, mountaineering and medical research at high altitude on Everest. Some of you may have seen a Panorama TV show a few weeks ago on this, which was pretty interesting. You don't have to be a medic or a mountaineer to appreciate this talk.

WHEN: Thursday 15th November @ 1930

WHERE: Avon Room, University Centre, on Campus

HOW MUCH: £2 Advance Tickets, available from any Committee member at the wall. Alternatively contact me (PM/Phone) if you can't get to the wall.

MORE INFORMATION: Take a look at the website: http://www.xtreme-everest.co.uk/

This will be preceded by a Scotland Introduction evening, for those interested in going on our annual winter mountaineering trip to Scotland, please see this thread for more information.

Looks quite cool, the horizon program was really interesting (&I'm definitely not a medic!)

I'm interested in going, will buy a ticket at the wall. I've been to a similar talk from a guy who climbed the highest peaks in each continent, (including Everest lol).

If its as interesting as that, I'll probably go. (As an engineer I doubt i'll understand the medical research though :/)

Are you bringing the tickets to the pub crawl?

If people want a ticket at the pub crawl they need to let me know beforehand, and see me near the start of the night.
So currently I will be bringing one for Fiona.

Otherwise I am likely to misplace the tickets in the organised mayhem that is the Harbourne run.
