Redpoint will be running a session on the evening of Tuesday 20th September for all those who want to help out teaching the new freshers this year. As most of you know, we normally struggle with the colossal number of freshers that arrive for the first indoor session so it would be really useful if we could have as many hands as
possible!

Hope to see lots of you there!

Guys and girls, any teaching indoors and out can be used as experience towards SPA and CWA's. It's usually hard to get the number of sessions in climbing walls required, so helping in RP and at Stanage are good opportunities for this.

If I have already taught before and been on committee would I still need to attend? Im more than happy to teach if I can get the time off of placement but am pretty sure I remember how

i would teach but i may be in a cast... dunno how helpful having only one foot would be but i can help people with harnesses!

Josh, Sorry to hijack this post.

But, can those who are going to be attending this induction course please say so on here.

I plan on starting around 7pm.

If this time is unsuitable we can rearrange or if you would prefer an earlier afternoon session then that also can be done.

If needed we will run two sessions.

If you plan on teaching freshers then it is worth you coming along, remember teaching new climbers is not as easy as you may think. Freshers week is always hectic the better prepared you are the better the sessions go.

Even if you have do one of these before come along anyway and refresh your skills.
