The Nights are drawing in and there's a chill in the air....

Which can mean only one thing... It's nearly time for The UBMC Scotland Trip!!

This is the Most Widely anticipated trip of the UBMC calendar, giving many people their first taste of Winter Mountaineering (Mmm, Tasty Winter!!). This trip spans New Year So a Brilliant night is Guaranteed, When we will travel to a local town to join in their celebrations (Last time the Fireworks Were So intense I almost Died!). So if you've ever Fancied putting on a Pair of Crampons whilst wildly brandishing a pair of Ice Axes (and even if you haven't) this trip is For you!

But Don't just take my word for it, watch this Educational Video: Video

This trip will run from the 30th of December 2009 to the 6th of January 2010, and will be going to the Cairngorms in Scotland.

The Cost for the Full week will be Around £100, Plus £50 for a Winter mountaineering course (lasting two days) for those who haven't done any Winter Mountaineering before.

We Will be staying in Nethy Station in Nethy Bridge where there is space for 18 of us, this means that space is fairly limited, so get your names down Quickly and Pay your deposits as soon as sign up begins to Confirm your place.

Sign up will begin at the end of the Winter Skills Lecture on the 17th of November Which is definitely worth attending if you intend to or are thinking about coming on this trip.

Its that time again :-)
Great little video but you really have to go on this trip to experience how awesome it is. The Cairngorms have already had some snow, so fingers crossed for good conditions.

Rosie we'll keep our eyes peeled for some mountaineering eye candy of our own! Mountaineering hunks! yum!

I'm all over this trip, started gathering gear. I've even moved my birthday so I can celebrate it with my UBMC chums!

So unbelievably psyched! Everyone do your tricep exercises now! for a strong ice-axe action!

YYYYEEEEEHHH!
