Fed up with revising for exams already? Dreaming of the glorious freedom of summer that seems tantalisingly close? Still planning what on earth you will do with yourself when you are free from all this stress?

Well look no further! Straight after exams finish, from 2nd – 9th June, UBMC will be running its summer trip to the (probably) sunny* climate of Pembroke!

Pembroke is an amazing place for climbing with its atmospheric sea cliffs, amazing beaches and beautiful scenery. You will also have the opportunity to go to the mythical Paddles, Pembroke’s very own nightclub. This place has become legend in the club, but I can promise it does in fact exists and will not disappoint!

We will be camping at Upper Portclew Farm, a campsite near a number of crags and only a 5 minute stumble to the nearest beach and pub.

The trip will cost £48 plus £5 per night you stay. We will also be charging £7 for the best t-shirt or beater ever. Therefore, for people staying the whole week and getting a trip top, the whole trip will cost £90.
There will be some flexibility with when people travel, especially as Gradball will be on Thursday of the week. Provisions will be made for anyone who wants to go back for this.

So what will I need?
The initial kit list is below. There are shops nearby so will be able to go get food when needed.

Tent (plenty of people in the club will have space in their tent if you don’t have your own, so don’t worry about being left to sleep under the stars...unless you really want to…)
Sleeping bag
Sleeping mat
Cooking stove and equipment (again if you dont have your own, ask around to see if you can share)
Any climbing gear you own (you will be able to borrow harnesses and helmets from the club)
Clothes (both for climbing and casual)
Waterproofs! (*sunny weather not a guarantee)
Decent footwear for walking reasonable distances in (it can be a fair walk to some of the crags)
Swimming stuff
Toiletries (There are showers at the campsite)
Your favourite teddy
Spending money

If you have any problems with getting anything on the list, or questions about the trip, feel free to drop either myself (Nick Hill) or the Facebook page a message!

I hope to see you all on the trip!
