Hi, I'm just starting at the uni and moved up a few days ago. I was planning on going down/up/across (really not sure of my way round the city yet ) to Redpoint tomorrow as I saw it was the centre recommended by this club.

I've done a bit of basic climbing and bouldering and wondered if anybody is still going on Sunday.

If you don't mind showing a new guy the ropes (a ha) can you post a time on here or PM me and I'll pass on contact details.

hey nathan, welcome to ubmc! sorry but i can't shag 2moro now, somthing has come up but if u go to red point every1 there is really friendly. i'm really bad at directions but its near the childern's hospital. the fresher's starts we'll have all the committee helping out and showing ppl the ropes quite literally. we'll be a the fresher's sports fair so pop along a say hello

I am in brum for most of whats left of the summer, but I am definitely not climbing today, I'm gonna be aching from yesterday for weeks!!

I went along and found the place today (got lost trying to get back home though). All the staff were helpful so I signed up as a member and did a little bouldering, realising how unfit I am .

Will probably go again at some point this week if anybody feels like coming along to do some actual climbing

I'm doing a postgrad so have got lectures during freshers week. Will make it a bit more awkward to find out about things but can't do much about it. We've got a reading week starting tomorrow and a LOT of prep work to cover, then an observation week the next, then lectures start in earnest.
