STANAGE!!!

Its not long now until the first and arguably the best UBMC trip of the year… Stanage!!!

A weekend of climbing in the beautiful peak district where our lovely new members will be introduced to Meanie, Ming, table and sock wrestling and lots more fun and surprises!

Where: We’ll be staying at St Michaels Environmental Centre in Hathersage, which means the luxury of a warm bed for both nights.
On the Saturday night we will also be treating you to a delicious complimentary meal (Ming!) and large quantities of alcohol (Meanie!)

When: Friday 11th-Sunday 13th October. Leaving from the Munrow Sports Centre Friday evening

Price: £40 and only £30 for drivers

We’ll also post what to bring and car lists closer to the time so watch this space!


If you guys could give us an idea of who’s coming, if you want to stay with us, need car spaces, (or even better if you’re happy to drive other people!) that would be greatly appreciated. Hope lots of you can make it!

We're all very excited about stanage and have organised a seperate hut for us old gits to sleep in! I would imagine that we'll all be keen for meanie but possibly not Ming. There are quite a few of us but I'm unsure of exact numbers at the moment.

Our official spokesperson and team liaison officer is Katie MF Jeanes, ex-social sec extraordinaire. There is also a thread on Facebook that I'll add you to!
