Just graduated from Liverpool where I was in charge of the sports dept for a year and captain of climbing for another. I know bugger all people in Bham so just looking for information on the climbing walls from you lot and where is good to grab a pint in the city

which is better do you lot reckon redpoint or creation + which has got the best lead walls/bouldering etc....

thanks for any reply's :)

bouldering is good at both, but redpoint having harder routes. Creation seems to have a lot of 5c/6a which adds a bit of variation. Heard that redpoint is the best for toproaping of leading

Don't ask this lot, they're bias! Both walls are pretty good, and once you've got bored of one you can just go to the other to keep yourself entertained.

What kind of grades are you climbing? There's more in the F7's at redpoint if thats your game. The bouldering goes up to about v9ish at the moment as well.

Creation is due a brand spanking new bouldering section though, which looks sweet. How long it'll take though is anyones guess.

And as for pints, we do the best socials so you've come to the right place!! If you're around tonight we're holding a lock in at redpoint -- info is on here -- would be a great time to meet us all. :D

In the good old days i was at a nice v4/5 but atm probably pushing a v0  until i get my ass back into it after a year of far too much work to even think about climbing. Leading sound good though whats the length of the walls? awesome Liverpool has 12-16m ones and awesome Stockport has a monstrous 22m set.

stupid moving date is tomorrow midday or i'd defo come along to the lock in at redpoint and the subsequent drinking that will follow :P never mind ill crash another one heh :D

Thanks Gareth :P

Anyway, had a look at redpoint and seems pretty solid place as well as being less than 10 minutes from my flat so will be heading there on Tuesday/Wednesday after work for a shag if anybodies interested. Ill wear my named T-shirt so you can either say hi or shout abuse at me from a distance.

P.S. bham is fooookin massive!

P.P.S. where is a good boozer round near redpoint? I'm a beer man and all there are round me are fancy wine bars :(
